Dangsung (Castle) (Historical Remains No 217)
Dansung, constructed during the Era of Three Nations, is located on Gubongsan Mountain near the center of where the boundaries of Seoshin, Songsan, Mado are crossing, the height of the castle is about 2.5m tall and the width of the base is about 7~8m, the circumference of the castle is about 1,200m long and the original structures are damaged so restorations are being carried out since 1993. Shilla Dynasty rebuilt it and named
it ¡®Danghangsung¡¯,it was an important transportation spot for trading with China through the West Sea and it was known as the birthplace of Namyang Hong Family.
Suwon Goeupsung (Gyeonggi-do Monument No 93)
This was an ancient town of Suwon inhabited since Goryo Dynasty and most of the town was lost while relocating the town to present Suwon by King Jeongjo to construct Yungnung and only about 500m of walls are remaining at a mountain ridge at present. The old Suwon town was discovered in 1998 and confirmed its remaining, the castle in the form of earth wall which remains at present is presumed to be the outer castle of the old Suwon town.
Namyang Hyanggyo (Confucian School) (Gyeonggi-Do Cultural Property No 34)
Namyang Hyanggyo located at Namyang Dong was established in the 6th year of King Taejo (AD1397) of Josun Dynasty, it was extensively renovated in 1933 and 1976 respectively. There stands a stone tablet indicating riders to dismount at the entrance, there are internal/external Soseul 3 doors and an Eastern building (where children of nobles stayed) and Western building (where children of common people stayed), 5 Sungs
(Sage) and 2 Hyuns (Wise) of China and 18 Hyuns of Korea are enshrined in the Daesungjeon and the Confucian scholars conduct religious services in springs and falls annually.
Tomb of Sinbin Kim (Gyeonggi-Do Monument No 153)
It is a tomb of Sinbin Kim, a Royal Concubine of King Sejong, and the mound of the tomb is 2.2m high and the circumference is 22m and there are tombstones, Sagakjangmyung (Square Epitaph), a warrior stone statue, a stone table and surrounded by a low wall. It was believed that the inscription on the tombstone was created by Kim Soo-on and written by An Hye.
Grave of Seo Geojung (Gyeonggi-Do Tangible Cultural Property No 136)
The grave of Seo Geojung used to be located at Bangi Dong, Songpa Gu, Seoul, it was relocated to its present location at Bongdap Eup, Hwaseong City in 1975. The tombstone records his life history and 19 pages out of 22 pages are currently kept in Gyeonggi-Do Museum.
Graves of Namyang Hong Family (Gyeonggi-Do Monument No 168)
It is a cultural remains of graves in the middle of Josun Dynastic in the area of San 30, Hongbup Ri, Seoshin Myeon where Hong Eonpil (AD1504-1585, Prime Minister), Hong Hyung (AD 1446-1500, Wooseungbooji), Hong Dam (AD1509-1576, Ijopanseo (a minister)), Hong Jindo (AD1584-1649, Panjungchooboosa) are buried and its related remains (11 grave mounds, 10 statutes of a scholar, 2 statutes of a child, 10 pair of stone posts in
front of a tomb, 4 tombstones, 5 tables, 5 stone incense burners, 5 stone monuments) can be found and one can study the stone monuments with praising inscriptions on created by influential scholars and politicians (Jo Gwangjo, Song Siyeol, Han Ho) at that time and they are well preserved.
Mannyeonjei (Gyeonggi-Do Monument No 161)
Manneyonjei is a reservoir completed on May of 22nd year of King Jeongjo and it is one of many dams constructed throughout the country during the latter years of Josun Dynasty and it is a good source for studying the history of agriculture and irrigation system at that time.
A Portrait of Park Seichei (Gyeonggi-Do Tangible Cultural Property No 163)
It is the portrait of Namgye Park Seichei, a civil minister and a Confucian scholar during the time of King Sukjong. It is a portrait drawn in late 17th Century which displays excellent description of face and the official uniform and it is a valuable property for studying portraits.
Old house of Hong Seungin (Gyeonggi-Do Cultural Property No 74)
The house located at Moonhak Ri, Jeongnam Myeon is shaped in square overall. It is built in traditional style with servants¡¯ quarters in a single-column style between the main building and the detached house and a main entrance at the center of the servants¡¯ quarter.
Grave of Baek Cheonjang (Gyeonggi-Do Monument No 86)
It is a grave of Baek Cheonjang, a scholar during Goryo Dynasty. Baek Cheonjang passed the civil service examination as a Jinsa and consecutively served as Hanlim Haksa and Jeongdang Moonhak and studied in Yuan in China and served as Ibusangseo, Geumjagwangrokdaebu than came back to Korea and conferred as Susungbaek.
Tomb of General Nami (Gyeonggi-Do Monument No 13)
This is a tomb of General Nami who passed the military service examination at the age of 17 in the 3rd year of King Sejo (AD1475) during Josun Dynasty, and he made a successful campaign during ¡®Disturbance by Lee Siae¡¯ and conquered Geonjoowi. The tomb is surrounded by Sasung and a table, a tombstone and a pair of stone posts stands in front of the mound.
Monument commemorating the death of Yoon Gye (Gyeonggi-Do Tangible Cultural Property No 85)
Yoon Gye died in defense of his loyalty while fighting enemies without giving up as a Namyang Deputy-delegate during Byungja Horan and later conferred as Ijochampan after his death and awarded with the title of Choonggangong. The epitaph was created by Song Siyeol and written by Song Joongil and constructed in the 9th year of King Hyunjong.
